Jane has been at Trinity since 2001, initially as a post-doctoral Fellow, then as a temporary lecturer, and she got her permanent position in 2007. Jane is currently Director of the Trinity Centre for Biodiversity Research (www.tcd.ie/tcbr) and her research focuses on human impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem services, primarily using plant-pollinator interactions as a model system. Jane has two children born in 2004 and 2006, and is married to UCD marine ecologist, Tas Crowe.
