Two British journalists who went missing for 24 hours in a
Croat-controlled region of Bosnia have been found alive and
well, the Foreign Office announced on Saturday (28/2).
Cameraman Mike Grimes, 22, and reporter Jeffrey Pickett, 27,
were attacked by several men at Bijakovici, near Medjugorje,
about 30 kilometres (19 miles) from Mostar, according to their
coleagues, Briton Maurice Alexander and American Philip Kronzer.
The two journalists managed to escape from the gang and flee
across 10 kilometres (6 miles) of hilly terrain before being
found by police on Saturday evening (28/2) at Buna, 10
kilometres to the south of Mostar.
