My vintage craftsman vase got broken by a friend of mine in the shop. They were cranking on the handle with a pipe and hitting on it with a sledgehammer and it broke a piece of the jaw off. It’s my favorite vise so I figured I would try to fix it. I took a die grinder and cut a groove where the weld would go. I believe this vise Is made out of cast steel.
