#Airbus #A380 What a lovely English rainy soaked summer. Some heavy showers almost every day. I've been waiting for a whole month to capture this amazing landing and wet jet spray. Sometime the wind was at different direction or I was working. But today I finaly did it and I would like to share it with you. Enjoy my friends!
Emirates airline a380 REG A6-EEI "United for Wildlife" livery very impressive water effect during braking
Reverse thrust is used to slow down the aircraft on the runway after touchdown.“Reverse” cause the turbines output is being guided into the reverse direction and as you might not know they apply "thrust" in order to increase the braking action
Using the reversers significantly decrease the landing distance, varying between aircraft, weight and environmental factors. If you look at this great video showing an Airbus a380 touching down and applying full reverse thrust you can clearly see how the water on the runway gets blown forwards , very impressive effect !
Gatwick Airport IATA LGW ICAO EGKK is 2.7 nautical miles (5.0 km; 3.1 mi) north of the centre of Crawley, West Sussex, and 29.5 miles (47.5 km) south of Central London.
