The Minister of Communication has announced that she will appeal the decision of the high court that sought to clarify the independence of the SABC board in appointing executive members of the corporation.The Save Our SABC campaign lodged the case after the controversial appointment of former COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng, apparently at the insistence of the then Minister of Communication, Faith Muthambi. The court ruled, among others, that the minister should not be involved in the appointment of executives.
