A memorable visit to Puru Biakiru, a relatively new Emberá community in Panamá.

Kensington Tours gave us a fascinating day trip that started with a scenic boat ride and included an educational presentation by Kevin, a knowledgeable member of the community who works to increase awareness about one of Panama’s 7 indigenous cultures.

We had opportunities for one-on-one conversations with residents and also aimed to support the community by bringing school supplies and toys for the kids, and we also bought some of their gorgeous handicrafts. Truly a rewarding experience!
