My acoustic guitar cover of John Butler`s song "Young and Wild" (live acoustic version). It´s a solo fingerstyle arrangement without any voice. It´s one of my favorite songs on the guitar to play around with.
As you may hear, the strings have a lot of warmth, color and low end. You have to let your strings die! Nick Drake probably never changed his strings therefore he got an authentic tone as no one else has. Josh Turner explains how to get your strings sound like Nick Drake`s ones. It´s not just because my guitar has a small body, it´s also because I used really really dead strings with not a lot of overtones. I let the strings for several months on my guitar so they have time to lose all of their brightness.
