In this video we learn about sponge tool and its properties.
What is sponge tool?
The Sponge tool, a cool saturation tool, is now available in Photoshop on the iPad. With brush settings like Flow, Hardness, Angle, and Roundness, you can saturate or desaturate any area of your image and create interesting effects.
Is Sponge tool a brush tool?
The Sponge Tool is one of Photoshop's image retouching tools. It lets you increase the intensity of a colour (saturation) or decrease the amount of colour (desaturation) until it starts to lose all colour and becomes grey scale. The tool works as a brush, which means we can change the tip shape and size.
Is sponge better than brush?
A brush or sponge can be used to apply powder foundation, though brushes are generally preferred. Brushes will give a more natural and buildable coverage, whereas sponges can tend to deposit too much product onto the skin and give a cakey finish.
Why sponge is used in painting?
For painting, sponges create a wide range of effects, marks, and gestures. For drawing, they are excellent for smudging and blending chalk pastels and charcoal. Ceramic artists depend on them to control the amount of water in their clay and to smooth out rough areas. Sponges are also essential for cleanup.
