Network Policy: The Future of Network Policy with AdminNetworkPolicy - Surya Seetharaman & Andrew Stoycos, Red Hat; Hunter Gregory, Microsoft
The Network Policy subproject in K8s SIG Network works on APIs to help secure K8s cluster networking. As of today, this encompasses: The NetworkPolicy API which can be used by application developers to secure their workloads. There are plans to also build V2 API out-of-tree since the core API is not accepting any new features. The new AdminNetworkPolicy and BaselineAdminNetworkPolicy APIs can be used by cluster administrators to secure the entire cluster. These two APIs have now graduated to Beta! This session will cover the current state of the project including some of the new features that the community has completed such as adding support for Egress, FQDN, refined Tenancy Peer Expressions, Conformance Profiles and Policy Assistant tooling. We will also talk about our plans to move to GA, how you can get involved in the project and open the floor for a Q+A with the project maintainers! We welcome anyone interested in learning more about securing their cluster network.
