Condemning the harassment and filing of a false case against senior journalist Rozina Islam at the secretariat, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said such incidents were happening against journalists as there was no democracy and accountability in the country. Transferring those involved in the harassment case is not a solution but should have been dismissed along with those involved and a case should have been issued against them and taken to jail. Doing so would give journalists some relief. Such incidents have taken place so that the journalists cannot cover the true facts and report the theft and corruption.
