Recently, I was trying to extend the duration of the video layer in Photoshop and to my surprise I could expand it beyond a certain point. Basically, when you insert a video layer, its maximum duration/length would be same as the layer below. For example, you got a layer of 10 seconds, then inserting the video layer would also be 10 seconds. You could then decrease its duration but can't increase it more the initial value. So, to create a longer length, you'd need to first increase the layer prior, and then insert the new video layer.
