Another rare good old classic KHI C151 train on North South Line. At Woodlands when it arrived the TV showed Jurong East Platform D, but at Kranji, unfortunately it was swapped to end at Jurong East Platform A, and at this timing means a UPD JUR withdrawal. Not forgetting this particular set was the trainset used to display the TEL4 advertisements, which had since been removed.
Yesterday news stated that all 1st gen KHI trains will have a lifespan of 38 years, hence by end of year 2026 all will be phasing out. Enjoy these old trains while they are still around in this last 1.5 years left. I will always remember taking both NSL and EWL KHI trains to go school during my poly days about a decade ago. Not forgetting a few times AM peak i get the direct Pasir Ris train at NSL i.e. trains from Bukit Batok will cross over to Jurong East Pasir Ris bound platform and the STARIS at Bukit Batok when departing will change to the light bulbs at EWL towards EW1, pretty cool!
