Children residing in the KwaZakhele township of Port Elizabeth have found a new passion --- road cycling and it is in full swing.
The Imveli Cycling Academy is using cycling as a tool to fight social ills in the township and curb the high rate of crime that has been committed by school children under the age of 18 due to lack of activities after school. The cycling academy was founded in 2015 with 10 cyclists, but since then it has grown to 200 active cyclists coming from disadvantaged communities.
