Discover Halong Bay: Cruise & Land Adventures with Kids // 🇻🇳 Vietnam 2023 Travel Vlog - Part I
Ha Long Bay, known in Vietnamese as Vinh Ha Long, is translated as “Descending dragons,” or “Where the Dragon Descends to the Sea.” It’s not hard to understand how these legends might have started, as it’s easy to see how the thousands of weathered limestone islands take the form and shape of a dragon’s back, seemingly floating above mystical emerald waters. With its rich history and beautiful landscape, Ha Long Bay officially became a UNESCO World Heritage site and was recognized as one of the new 7 natural wonders of the world.
Like many others, we were drawn to the beauty and awe of this location, and had to make it one of our stops on our trip back to our motherland: Vietnam. It was our first time travelling to Vietnam as a family with two kids. While returning, we wanted to give you guys our unique perspective of Vietnam, while providing tips and recommendations with regard to the best foods to eat, coffees to try, things to do, and places to go. So come wander with us, as we start by sharing with you guys our experience of Ha Long Bay, both by cruise, and by land.
