Script for Video for those of you who prefer to read things: Here What's up guys? My name is Quadron. I'm primarily making this video for the Dota 2 subreddit, which if you haven't checked it out and you're a dota 2 player, you definitely should go check it out. I'm making this video because I really just want to contribute to the Dota 2 community in general and also to that subreddit, so without very ado, let's get into the video.
Today, we are starting with Ember spirit. When I pick ember spirit, people frequently tell me that the hero sucks, and that I should have picked a better hero. Well, I am here today to tell you that the hero does not suck. The truth is most of you simply suck at playing him, as can be seen here. Just for reference and credibility, here is a screenshot of my last 20 games with ember spirit.
1) It is possible to use all of ember spirits abilities while using Slight of Fist. While many of you know you can use searing chains while jumping around, but did you know you can also activate flame guard, throw out fire remnants, and jump to them while slashing the enemy to bits. If you time it correctly, you teleport from your starting location and arrive at the fire remnant instantly. If your ulty form travels there before slight of fist is done, however, you will fail miserably and not jump to the ulty location but will be sucked back to your starting location for SoF. For the most possible pawnage, I recoomend practicing this in wtf mode until you get used to it.
Comboing these abilities allows ember spirit to kit his enemies and move to random locations around the teamfight, making locating him far more difficult. This also allows him to escape when he ordinarily would die to slows or being surrounded by the enemy. Here you can see he gets gailed, but is able to use the neautal creeps to spawn a remnant far enough away to escape.
2) The second tip isn't as game changing, but you might find some utility from it. While in ulty form, zooming from place to place, it is also possible to use searing chains on enemies you pass by, though it does not seem possible to use slight of fist while in ulty form.
3) The last tip is that shadow balde is currently one of the most cost effective items on Ember spirit, especially when combined with the proper items. The 150 bonus damage is applied to all units under slight of fist, but only if the slight of fist is cast during the fade time to invisibility. I do not know if this is intended, but is works extremely well allowing you to combo your flame guard with slight of fist, then burn heros with flame guard while invisible, getting another 150 bonus damage on the next right click, and allowing you to go immediately into another slight of fist (at least until the enemy team gets smart enough to get detection). I recommend building a desolator and battle fury after shadowblade because the armor reduction and cleave both stack with both the 120 bonus damage from slight of fist as well as the 150 damage from SB, allowing you to do a guaranteed 270 more damage for cleave than normally possible with this amount of gold.
That's it for this video. I really want this series to be driven by the community. What advanced tips do you know that are obscure but really useful? Please post them in the comments down below and I will feature you if I use it in the next video.
Cheers and good luck in all your future matches. Don't forget to subscribe for more dota 2 videos. Quadron signing out.
