Our second day in Traben-Trarbach was again very hot. We crossed the Mosel to walk through Trarbach then rose steeply through the vineyards and woodlands above the town. Surmounting the neck of a wide meander we descend through the trees to the pretty town of Bernkastel. This lovely place is filled with colour, half timbered buildings and tourists. Our return journey was made by boat sailing down the Mosel. This was a beautiful ride passing pretty wine villages and passing beneath the soaring Autobahn bridge, the Moselbrucke. Finally we arrive back at our base of Traben-Trarbach for one more night.
