RTÉ News reports on the death of veteran journalist and broadcaster Colm Keane.
A native of Youghal in County Cork, Keane was the author of 29 books and wrote extensively on near-death experiences, as well as books on St Brigid, St Padre Pio and St Thérèse of Lisieux. Keane also spent 26 years working at RTÉ, producing and presenting documentaries on a wide range of subjects, including pop music, sport, politics, crime and Irish history.
Keane was married former RTÉ newscaster Una O'Hagan until his death. Their only son, Sean, died from cancer in 2007 at the age of 20. Keane died on 21st January 2022 at his home in Waterford following a battle with cancer.
