At least 55 people have been killed in the latest attacks, 50 in Gaza and the West Bank, and five in Israel. Israel carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza into Wednesday morning as Hamas fired multiple rockets towards Israel. A 12-story residential building in Gaza collapsed and another one was heavily damaged on Tuesday. This has been the heaviest offensive between Israel and Hamas since 2014, which has prompted international concern.
