@3jagdesign There’s something about rolling up your sleeved and spending an entire week making something that’s been made the same way for 7,000 years.
With a couple improvements and a jig or two. I find so much immeasurable joy in being part of a trade that has been around for thousands of years. I feel even more connected to history through the art of hand fabrication. Starting with a coil of metal, hard, unruly and motionless, and through sawing, soldering, drawing, sanding and finishing creating a fluid piece that has movement and purpose and a new life of its own.
These chains were all built, one link at a time, with intention, skill and hard work. No two links are exactly the same. No single link is stronger than the next.
