Happy Lunar New Year Everyone! What a surprise to hear that IKEA is offering in Dim Sum Meal to celebrate the Lunar New Year! I was surprised to hear and had to check this out! This is from my local IKEA here in Richmond (Vancouver), Canada. I'm not sure if it is available at other locations and would be curious to know. Comment if you have something similar in our area.
As an aside, I can't help but notice that their signage had a logo similar to that of Mike Chen's Strictly Dumpling logo. Just something I've noticed :-)
It was quote a nice experience! There are many fancy gourmet Dim Sum restaurants in the Richmond/Vancouver area -- just make sure to keep your expectation in line. This is not a specialty dim sum restaurant by any means; rather it's offering fun IKEA experience and it does deliver.
I forgot to mention what was in those red envelopes in case you are wondering. They contain a voucher for a junior entree on the next visit -- or if you have a big appetite, I suppose you can use it afterwards as well :-)
