BIO: LEYENDA Dance Company is a ballet folklorico group that specializes in dances from many different regions of Mexico; each featuring completely different outfits, music and dance style. LEYENDA Dance Company is a research based dance group. Our dances are based in ethnological and anthropological studies conducted through multiple travels through Mexico and interaction with the ethnic groups and master teachers from those areas of Mexico.

LEYENDA Dance Company however, caters to massive media and theater, therefore it is infused with refinement or stylization to fit into the most demanding scenic shows, world festivals, Hollywood movies or TV Shows. Nevertheless, LEYENDA Dance Company manages to capture the original essence of strength, vitality, and intense passion of the Mexican dances. LEYENDA dancers push their body to their limit to impress audiences who have nicknamed this group “Anthropology in Motion”. Their intense performance, and the innovative format of their interactive shows make for an unforgettable impression of Mexican dance, in USA, China, France, Italy, Dubai, and Mexico.

LEYENDA has a team that has, for the past 13 years entertained in weddings, quinceañeras and even birthday parties. We believe that families deserve the same world tour dance performances in their private family celebrations.

LEYENDA also caters to corporations that have company celebrations and in such we have performed for transnationals like BOEING, NASA, NORTHROP GRUMMAN, ROLEX, HARRY WINSTON DIAMONDS, GOOGLE, EMIRATES AIRLINES, BMW, and the list goes on and on in which the prince of DUBAI was present in the EMIRATES show. The prime minister of Israel, Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie have seen our shows amongst some other celebrities.

Our largest crowd was 400,000 (Four hundred Thousand) people in Beijing China 2015.

LEYENDA has been featured in a documentary of their first dance tour to China 2009 and has appeared on TV more than 28 times in the past 3 years and featured in Newspapers from USA, China and Dubai as well as TV stations of USA, Asia, India and Dubai. LEYENDA has been awarded multiple times receiving “Artist of the month” “Vision Award” “Image Award” and a Government of LA Commendation amongst others.
