Front of Kit Microphone - AEA R88

Continuing our series on drum mic'ing techniques, today we are soloing the @ribbonmics AEA R88 stereo blumlein ribbon mic. This baby is great on many things including drum overheads but because it captures a great image in 360 degrees I like to use it out in front of my kit. This room is tight and punchy with a combination of diffusion and absorption and the R88 captures the kit in this environment very naturally.
