- marry or enter a civil partnership
- live in the UK for long periods through successive visits

What is the duration and cost of a UK Standard Visitor visa?

6 month or 2,5,10 year
£115 for 6 months
£400 for a 2 year long std visa - max stay is 6 months
Medical, academic are for longer 11,12 months

You can choose to apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa if you visit the UK regularly. This visa lasts 2, 5 or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of 6 months on each visit.
