FTRD is the first interventional system for combined full-thickness resection of colonic lesions with closure and cutting of the tissue in one integrated procedure. It is technically based on the well-known OTSC clipping system.

The new device is an instrument system for endoscopic Full-Thickness Resection (eFTR) and diagnostic tissue acquisition through removal of suitable lesions in the colorectum.

First clinical data on the FTRD System Set will be presented by Dr. Arthur Schmidt, Dept. of Internal Medicine/Gastroenterolgy, Ludwigsburg, Germany.

Ovesco requires customers to attend certified training before using FTRD. COURSES STARTING IN JANUARY 2015 are available. Clinicians in the UK who are interested to add this service and attend the training should email sales@synmed.co.uk
