What is this project about?
The Pulse is a modular device for automation and sensing applications. It has a waterproof, modular sliding block (SLI) system which allows for extra modules to be added removed on demand. Anyone can design SLIs to be used with Pulse.

What are some use cases for this Pulse gateway thing?
- Measure indoor air quality, CO2, PM2.5, PM10
- Interface with SDI-12, RS232, and RS485 devices
- Connect flowmeters, wind sensors to measure gas or liquid amounts
- I/O control. Control external devices with relays, triacs, etc.
- Add application specific wireless modems. Like a satellite modem

Why is Pulse such a big deal if we have PLCs or other devices that do the same thing.
- Battery operated (can last for months)
- Solar panel is built in
- Can be remotely programmed to support new modules and devices
- Its waterproof, hot-swappable sliding module system
- Wireless modems are built-in like LoRa and 4G
