Tricking a muskie into striking is HARD! It often takes tens of hours of dedicated casting, while simultaneously employing well thought out strategies, just to get a single fish to bite! But then you only have the mighty musky hooked! At this point you have only won half of the battle because the intense fight of the muskie is in large part what makes them so hard to catch. And a major part of the catching challenge is the netting process. Trying to net a muskie with your fishing partner takes communication, skill and determination to get the job done but netting a muskie while fishing solo.... well... now that is a different story!
In this video I go into detail about the netting strategies and overall setup that works for me and allows me to net muskies consistently while fishing solo. Solo net jobs, especially on large muskies, are extremely difficult but with some practice and a well defined game plan you can increase your chances of ending with a touchdown!
