Ever hit a target at 200 yards? I get the feeling you have.
300? 400? Probably...
What about shooting at 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 yards - one shot per target, without a miss?
We were shooting on the rifle side of Angeles Shooting Range last week when this idea popped in our heads. For those of you who have not been to ASR, the furthest targets are at 600 yards. We wanted to challenge ourselves and see if we could engage targets at all the distances without dropping a shot under stress (timed on the clock and on film).
Using the Leatherwood Automatic Ranging Trajectory (ART) M1000-PRO, this exercise was a breeze.
The ART scopes utilize a unique CAMputer system to mechanically compensate for bullet drop. (If you notice in the video, our shooter turns only the cams adjacent the eyepiece... and nothing else).
In the future, we'll be shooting the 600 YD Challenge with the M1000-PRO for time.
Think you can complete the challenge? Tag us @leatherwoodoptics on Instagram or send us a link. We would like to see you try.
Just follow the rules:
Engage Targets @ 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 Yards.
First round hits only.
Good luck! #600ydchallenge
