If you have a baby that's 3 months of age or younger, and they're running a fever of 100.4 degrees fahrenheit or higher, you need to have them seen by a pediatrician as soon as possible. They'll perform an exam, ask you more specific questions about your baby's behavior and things you've observed, and then decide if further investigation or treatment is necessary. Babies at this age shouldn't run fevers, and if they do, it might be a serious infection that requires immediate medical attention.
