PHASE BREAKDOWN IN DESCRIPTION
PHASE 1: Who's scruffy lookin'?
- Keep your cheeks and neck clean
- Don't mess with the rest!
- This phase ends at 3 months - now is a good time to commit to Phase 2 or decide that you don't like the way you look
- Products: Jojoba/coconut oil are great. Don't feel the need to shell out $ on products before you're sure this is what you want to do. Add some essential oil to the oils to get that dope scent
PHASE 2: You're a Lumberjack Harry
- From months 4 - 6
- Trim sparingly, but as needed - recommend scissors only
- Let your neck go (over time it will blend with the rest of your beard)
- Products: Beard oil and beard balm (balm is what I prefer)
PHASE 3: Glorious Glory
- From 7 - 12 months
- Upkeep can depend on your style/goals (I'll have videos on this when I get to this phase). Actual hair clippers are best (IMO) for maintaining a big beard
- Products til your beard is content
- Safely trim/try new styles and not worry about having to start over
Products: whatever you want! I use ConAir trimmers to keep the big beard in check (link below)
