Kerstin Göpfrich is leader of a Max Planck Research Group in Biophysical Engineering at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg and a Principal Investigator within the Cluster of Excellence 3D Matter Made to Order (3DMM2O), a joint research cluster of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Heidelberg University funded by the DFG. In this interview, Kerstin talks about her research on synthetic cells, how she sees herself as a Woman in Science and gives advice to young researchers just starting their journey into science.
