The annual Women's March was held today in Washington DC, where participants struggled to remove anti-abortion counter-protesters who often got inside the march itself.
"Pro-life is a lie, you don't care if people die!" they chanted.
As the event began, one anti-abortion activist was blocked as he tried to move into the rally. He ended up on the ground.
"Nobody touched you!" activists said before the man went to the police, with whom he stepped aside.
"Let their hearts beat!" chanted anti-abortion activists as abortion activist Derek Torstensond held a sign reading "Be Gay, Fund Abortion."
Police stepped in between the two sides to form a line.
As the Women's March proceeded, anti-abortion counter-protesters marched inside the event itself, causing some confusion and frustration.
"We've gotta keep chanting, we've gotta be louder!" than them an organizer told the crowd.
"Pro-life is a lie, they don't care if people die!" chanted Women's March participants as they arrived at the White House. "Show me what democracy looks like! This is what democracy looks like!"
"We've gotta tell Joe Biden to get his hands off our bodies!" a speaker said before leading chants of "I believe that we will win!"
