The Nesco is a totally different form of air roster than all the other types out there, such as air popcorn poppers or the Fresh Roast. It has a very low air flow, and a matching low intensity heat level. As you can imagine, it's a slow roaster too, with roasts taking 16:00-18:00 minutes. We like the darker roasts from this machine, but it's not for everyone! It has few options to control the roast ... but might be a great roaster to give someone who wants to roast coffee at home without a lot of fuss, or options.
