Plast-O-Matic Valves' Andy Ryan describes the use and function of a normally-closed, 2-port "relief/backpressure" valve at the downstream end of a closed loop piping system. The valve is used to regulate backpressure, so that the system will maintain a desired, pre-set pressure to points of use.
