P.S Before the 100th episode aired, there was contract negotiations between The WB and Joss Whedon as well as 20th Century Fox Television for the future 2 seasons and 44 episodes of BTVS in January 2001. Joss and 20th Century Fox had wanted a $2.3 million increase per episode from The WB for Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the shows two seasons and 44 episodes but sadly The WB’s only offer was $1.8 million and Joss and 20th Century Fox didn’t see eye to eye with The WB and they began shopping it to other networks (Fox Broadcasting was likely a choice, if Buffy the Vampire Slayer moved to FOX it would have been a success but bad on 20th Century Fox Television). In April 2001, UPN picked up Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the $2.3 million Joss and 20th Century Fox Television wanted. After the 5th Season Finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired, repeats of Buffy the Vampire Slayer would air on The WB Wednesday nights at 9:00pm et/8:00pm ct after Dawson’s Creek and The WB Sunday night at 7:00pm et/6:00pm ct before the comedy shows over the summer from June 5,2001 until the end of August of that year.
