Assam Govt has announced fresh restrictions in view of 3rd COVID wave in the state. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said night curfew timings changed to 10pm to 6am, starting from 6am on Jan 8. Only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to enter hotels, restaurants, government offices, shopping malls, multiplexes. All schools up to Class VIII in Kamrup-Metropolitan district and up to Class V in all other districts will remain closed from Jan 8. Restaurants are to be allowed to operate at 100% seating capacity with fully vaccinated persons.
