We are back in Bali for another two months!
Our first time in Bali was magical and we liked it so much, we decided to return for another two months.
We were going to explore more of Indonesia, but we decided to stay in Bali again. We will be back next year to explore more, like Borneo 😀
Our adventures start in Ubud, exploring the city center. Luckily, we're staying nearby where a Gulingan ceremony is taking place and our plan is to check it out during the evening. But first, we will grab some lunch, explore the city center, and go to the Ubud Monkey Forest to see if we can see some Monkeys.
Next up, we are trying new things that we didn't do on our first trip. Like trying poop coffee!
We go to a coffee plantation to learn how Lewak coffee is made and try it out, along with some other coffee and local teas.
Then we hike through a rice terrace in Tegalalong. Such a neat adventure! The kids did great and worked together as a team to get to the top. We met the sweetest lady who is the owner of the fields and she explained a bit about their work and sold us some refreshments.
Nicole got to try out one of the huge Bali swings also! That was cool and a fun experience for her.
We went on another unforgettable adventure to Mt Batur, where we lived for several days in a picturesque A-frame house at the foot of the mountain. We faced some challenges, but in the end we accomplished our mission of riding a 4x4 jeep through the black lava fields and experiencing the thermal hot springs. Some of my favorite memories from this trip.
We spent the whole day at Bali Safari Park! Although it was a bit pricey compared to some of the things we've done in Bali, like the Bali Zoo for example, we had an amazing time. There are so many animals to see and the shows are great for the family.
We stayed at the Element Hotel in Ubud for a night and enjoyed a delicious meal and got to hang out in the pool for awhile before the rain came. We also got to check out their amazing breakfast buffett.
Next up, we checked off a bucket list item by staying the night at Bali Beach Glamping in a Luxury Tent. WOW!. This thing was impressive. The resort is awesome, with an infinity pool, immaculate grounds, and the tents themselves are amazing.
Unfortunately, I became very sick over the following week. We struggled with sickness on and off during this trip, but we tried to make the best of it. We went to Tanah Lot, but didn't film it. Looking back, I wish did because we didn't get to do as much as we wanted to in the last two weeks.
We wrapped up our last few days just relaxing in our Airbnb and swimming. We ate some lunch at Wahaha restaurant with the best pork ribs in Bali and let the kids go wile at Time Zone arcade.
Thanks for joining us on this amazing two months adventure in Bali! We hope you enjoy the video.
