Lake Tyrrell might appear to be in the middle of nowhere but it does know how to attract a crowd... whether it's for the sunsets or the birds that call this place home.

On this trip, we had some pretty good views of the regular 3 Lake Tyrrell birds:
* White-winged Fairywren
* Rufous Fieldwren
* Black-faced Woodswallow

And for just that little bit of an added bonus.... we were lucky enough to enjoy the company of a pretty happy Red-backed Kingfisher.

Most of our birding at Lake Tyrrell was during the day but we wondered what happened at sunset so we came back to experience what happened when the sun went down. Turned out... so did loads of other people!
