TikTok is now racing to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court after an appeals court rejected its request to delay a law requiring its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell the app by January 19. The company had warned that without intervention, the law could effectively shut down TikTok, which has over 170 million monthly users in the U.S.
