The Best Maple Fudge Recipe
Prep: 5 mins
Cook: 15 mins
Total: 20 mins
Servings: 16 pieces
Ingredients
• 2 cups pure maple syrup
• 3 tbsp. butter
• 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
1. Grease and line with parchment a square baking dish. Set aside.
2. In a medium pot over high heat, boil maple syrup and butter for 5 minutes.
3. Add heavy cream and stir to combine. Attach candy thermometer to the side of the pot and cook the mixture over medium high heat until it reaches 245 degrees F.
4. Take the mixture off the heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
5. Beat with a whisk for 5 minutes until the mixture begins to thicken.
6. Pour into the prepared baking dish and allow to cool before slicing into 16 squares.
7. Enjoy!
Notes
1. To be on the safe side, pull the fudge off the heat just a hare before it hits 245 degrees F. Aim for 243 degrees F, because as soon as it gets hotter than 245, the fudge ends up hard and crumbly.
