I plan on duplicating the shooting required to get the 1KM milk jug sticker. It's a set of 10 rounds @1km under a set parameter list. For this it's a 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser, For this I plan on using a 139 gr BTHP LAPUA bullet IMR 4350. The Hornady Loading manual ver7. This is simply a ladder test to see how it shoots with each load, it definitely improved on each progression up. There is 1 more step up I can take but its the highest load the book recommends.
I may have to load a very tightly controlled ladder set up to the max charge. Next time, but this was a good start.
So I'm thinking maybe 3 or 4 cameras to do this,
1 Pocket camera @ the target pocket camera zoomed in on jug
2 Small Go pro to be a non stop roll, including gps screen shots
3 Nikon P950 to do mega zoom from shooting position to tgt
4 Canon Rebel II to cover shooter and include camera #3 in view .
From the Long Range Shooters of Utah,
If you're able to re-create our videos and include multiple camera views that clearly show the that all the rules were followed then you can pay $30 to have us review the video. If approved we'll mail your decal. The video must show that you took no sighter shots, that you shot the prescribed distance (film through a rangefinder, zoom in and out, GPS screenshot) it must show that the jug was hit, etc. It just need to be very obvious that you followed the rules and hit the jug within regulation. 10 shots, 10 minutes.
Regards.
