Arrival at JFK after a 3 hour, 45 minute red-eye flight from Salt Lake City, on a 7-week-old A321. Our approach started with a turn to the south near Manhattan, flying out over the water before making a few left turns to loop around and line up for landing onto Runway 31L, after which we passed through a layer of clouds to finally see the ground below us.
