Municipal Workers Union SAMWU plans to take some municipalities in the North West to the Labour Court. This is to force them to pay statutory deductions from salaries of their members to relevant third parties. Several municipalities in the province continue to make deductions from workers' salaries, including pensions, but they aren't forwarded to the relevant entities.
