The bike is completely adjustable. You can move the seat up and down, forward and back. You can also move the handle bars up and down.

The app is great given that there is no $49 a month subscription fee. For a free app, I am completely happy with it. You can download the app onto your Iphone or android devices. I was even able to download it onto my chromebook. When you first start on your bike it will measure your level so that you know what programs you can do. The bike is also intelligent so it adjusts the tension according to your level. The AI automatically alters the resistance based on your level, power output, and goals. So for example, if you are going up a hill, it will automatically increase the tension.

If you click the “Discovery” tab of the app you will be able to choose the type of rides that you want to do.

Power Courses are like primitive video games, but they keep you going for the amount of time at your level. I’ve tried a couple of the beginner level ones and I find it kind of fun competing against the computer to keep the line in the right area based on my riding.

Once I discovered the Video Courses, I ended up spending my time in this section. I downloaded the introductory course, which is 20 minutes. Here you are guided by an instructor who gives you cues on your posture and also more encouragement and instruction on how to ride. I found this a lot more enjoyable and also I understood better how to ride when I did this program. I do wish there was a 10 minute video class. However if you scroll down there are several 5 minute classes. When you are trying to create habits and build your cardio, these are gems to have.

The challenges take you out on rides of the road through Italy, 2 rides through California, 2 rides through France and 1 ride through Washington. I haven’t experimented much with these rides because they are longer and above my level right now. They require a lot more cardiovascular strength and endurance than I have right now. However, it is awesome to see the scenery in these places. It allows you to travel and get your exercise.

The app tracks your workout time, your calories burned in equivalent to food - so for example you may burn a cola, or a banana. It gives you weekly reports and summaries after each workout. I love this, honestly this kind of thing is really motivating to me.

Cons:

It has been leaving black marks on our hardwood floor. I can’t get them up with warm soapy water or vinegar. So you are going to want to make sure to put something underneath the base so that this doesn’t happen to you.

You want to be sure you are going to be using it. It is a big footprint in your home especially if you live in a small space. You need to make sure you have a space that you can use it and store it so that it won’t be in the way.
