A powerful earthquake that shook parts of Guatemala and El Salvador ended up causing more panic than damage.
The 6-point-8 quake struck Wednesday afternoon and was centered some 70 miles southwest of Guatemala City off the Pacific coast.
Some of the only lasting signs from the incident are these markings from seismographs when the quake struck.
Officials do say there is some damage.
They say there are reports of a few landslides and a wall that collapsed on a construction site.
However, they say there are no reports of injuries.
The same holds true in El Salvador, where people ran into the streets after feeling the earthquake.
Officials say there have been some aftershocks but so far they say most of the potential trouble has been averted.
