Andrew Lawrence is Mr. RC Sound. An accomplished electrical technician, he has developed and is patenting a low-cost but highly realistic engine sound module for RC planes. Designed to fit in planes that have wingspans from 1000mm to 2000mm, these modules can be run from the plane's existing electrical system to reproduce the sound of such famous engines as the Lycoming, Merlin, Wright Cyclone and Pratt and Whitney Double Wasp. These sound modules are the perfect scale touch to bring to life a warbird such as a P-51 Mustang or F4U Corsair. They are perfect for the scale enthusiast who wants to add the touch of realism that only a true engine sound can. This video shows the sound module at work in the BP Hobbies Bucker Jungmann biplane and the FMS P51D Mustang. I was amazed as I built and flew these planes with the sound modules how effective they were at creating the illusion of a real, scale aircraft.
