Lufthansa New "First Class Suite Plus" – Private Room Above The Clouds
Lufthansa is expanding its premium First Class offering with the "Suite Plus," a separate double cabin with ceiling-high walls and an entirely closable door, large table and two wide seats that can be combined into a comfortable double bed if required. With this flying private room, Lufthansa is setting a new standard in comfort and individuality within its most sophisticated travel class. Features shared by all three Allegris first class suites plus include near ceiling-height walls, a wide personal wardrobe and individual heating and cooling systems to create a ‘micro-climate’ which can be tailored to your own preferences, rather than putting up with a cabin that’s often too cold or too hot.
That’s done via warming panels in the seat cushions, similar to a car’s heated seats, while cool air is circulated from underneath the seat. Couples flying together can sit side by side or across from each other, with an oversized table plus ‘dine on demand’ to give meals more of a restaurant-like vibe.

The most obvious thing about the new first class suites is how much space they have. To give a sense of scale for the new suite, while it can only be occupied by two people for takeoff and landing, it has four seatbelts and can comfortably accommodate up to four adults .When not used to host four people, the suite is spacious enough to be converted into a double bed, similar to the first class suits on Singapore Airlines. However, unlike Singapore Airlines, splitting the suite in two is impossible. That means that the suite can only be sold to a couple of travelers or a single traveler, but not two single travelers. Lufthansa is expected to consider this, not charging double the single suite rate for these double suites. Ample storage space is provided by a suite wardrobe so that travelers can comfortably change and have all their personal belongings at hand.

Lufthansa will introduce Allegris First Class in 2024 on its new Airbus A3 50s. The German carrier will implement the new cabins on over 80 new aircraft, including Boeing 7 8 7 9s and 7 7 7 9s. A double seat, in which the center console can be retracted to transform it into a reclining surface for two, is also available.
