The Mahindra XUV 3XO is sure to get everybody’s attention, but who is it really for? Here are three things to keep in mind:
First, those of you who have been looking for a solid automatic at about Rs. 10 lakh, the MX2 Pro variant of the XUV 3XO is going to be very attractive. It has a proper six-speed torque converter automatic with a punchy turbo petrol engine, and it gets six airbags, a touchscreen infotainment system and even a sunroof.
Second, those of you who spend a lot of time on the highway and wanted a great diesel engine, this is definitely it. It’s a powerful engine that is smooth and it’s effortless when it’s carrying speed. It’s based on a great platform which makes it feel at home on the highway. From the driver’s seat with a tall windscreen does put you at ease.
Third, the enthusiasts will love the top-spec 130 PS turbo-petrol engine, which is properly zippy and with a six-speed automatic, it is convenient and easy to use. The chassis is confident, and the brakes are solid. The downside being the fuel efficiency in the city is not to be great and it’s not ideal for low-speed usage.
