Kulukki sarbath recipe – A famous refreshing drink in Kerala.Kulukki sarbath is shaken lemonade. Kulukki in Malayalam means ‘shaken’ so the drink gets its name from the method it is prepared. Yes, they don’t mix for the ingredients to combine but they shake it rigorously and serve it.


Lemon kulukki sarbath

Ingredients

3 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Chia Seeds/Basil Seeds
1 Green Chilli (slit in half)
1½ tsp Powdered Sugar
100 ml Water
4-6 Mint Leaves
Ice Cubes (as required)
Salt to taste
Club soda (or just water)

Orange kulikki sarbath

Ingredients

4 tbsp Orange Juice
2 tbsp Chia Seeds/Basil Seeds
1 Green Chilli (slit in half)
1½ tsp Powdered Sugar
100 ml Water
4-6 Mint Leaves
Ice Cubes (as required)
Salt to taste
Club soda (or just water)
