It's National Poetry Month and I love poetry! I am going to play this week with using poetry as inspiration for my art journaling process and I will be sharing a different poem each day.
Today we go a little deeper into our exploration of poetry and art journaling. I find Mary Oliver's poems to be an exceptional resource for this type of inner work. One of my favorite poems by her is The Journey.
I will use intuitive collage and maybe some acrylic paint to explore the themes and deeper personal meaning of Mary Oliver's poem.

Today we are using an intuitive collage process in a visual journal or art journal to deepen our relationship to ourselves and make the unconscious conscious. We will be using magazine images to create collage. All you need is a pair of scissors, some images and a glue stick as well as a pen for some journaling. It is National Poetry Month and I will be featuring a variety of different poets this month and how I incorporate them into my art journal.
