To write systematic name of any organic compound we must follow a bunch of rules given by the IUPAC. These rules include selection of carbons chain, numbering of carbons, identification of substituents with rheir locant numbers, arrangement of substituents in slphabetical order, finding of name of parent alkane and use of proper suffix.
